      Busy university with good students but you will be pushed hard - ESL Teacher NUIST Employee Review

      Pros

      Not perfect but very good students overall and good learning attitudes. Teaching majors are excellent overall. Freedom to plan classes your classes and minimal bureaucracy. Teachers are allowed to use other textbooks although some classes also had good textbooks provided. Next to a subway. Paid holidays. Most classrooms are large and comfortable.

      Cons

      Too many different topics (5-6) every semester made planning a nightmare and not much free time after all the planning. Creating so many different exams is also a challenge. A few classrooms are cramped with tiny boards.

      Pros

      - Classes were scheduled on 2 days of the week, so plenty of time for prep/grading. - Direct supervisors were easy to reach and helpful

      Cons

      - Taught only non-English majors, and only met with each class once per week. Class sizes ranged from 35-55. Building relationships with students was difficult.
