The products were once the top in the industry, but there has been such a lack of leadership and direction at the top that changes are pushed out without an clear vision or thought put into them. Management can't support their direct reports, because everything is pure chaos and clients are constantly escalating. Processes that were once constantly revised are outdated and there's zero ownership for improvement. It's not uncommon for managers to get involved in deals, having no background on what's been done or even what the product is capable of, and give the client advise that details everything. When this happens it's the employee that has to go back to the client and say that they were given incorrect information. It's not uncommon for employees to leave because they're so burnt out that the idea of being unemployed is better than dealing with the constant berating from clients and management.
