The focus of the management team is on making the business stronger and capable of weathering any storm and is engaged from the formulation of strategy and execution (very hands on). The businesses are expanding into markets not served before with an eye on growth and diversification. “New Products, New Markets, and New Customers” is the name of the game here….challenge the norm to grow both the core and expand the offerings for the future.
Cons
Tough environment at times with aggressive stretch goals. Many reports generated that are questioned on value (although intended to highlight opportunities and drive action). As with any technology company it is often difficult to see the long-range vision as the landscape changes rapidly and the company must adjust with it. Agility is a key trait to work here.
