Pros

Fast-paced growth, mostly great products and c-suite, especially inspiring CEO. Processes and systems getting better. Friendly and collaborative colleagues.

Cons

Heavy admin with constant big transformation projects that are rolled out without proper testing. Work-life balance is worsening year over year and micromanagement increases. Several redundancy rounds don’t help. Keep aquiring company’s and all CSM need to support all products, which is not sustainable.

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear that you appreciate the company’s growth, the strength of our products, the leadership team, and the supportive colleagues around you. These are areas we continuously strive to uphold. We also recognize the concerns you raised around workload, administrative demands, and the pace of transformation. Your input on testing new processes more thoroughly and enabling more focused product areas for CSMs is valuable. These are topics we are actively reviewing to ensure teams are supported, set up for success, and able to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Thank you for your continued commitment to Optimizely and for helping us improve.

Pros

- Active customer base - Modern product - Opportunity for leadership exposure

Cons

- Dismissive promotion culture - Pay is mediocre; employees with more senior titles making the same as less senior employees - Poor career advancement and recognition - Lack of career guidance, support, and proper feedback - “Pull your socks up” mentality with little clarity into promotion opportunity - “You should be grateful to work here” culture
