Pros

Good health benefits, exposure to the largest brands in hardware, Decent bonus plans (but it’s all in managements hands you have no control) pretty lenient on vacation or time away if needed.

Cons

Lack of growth opportunity. They tell you they promote internally but the only way that happens is if someone is quit or fired. No jobs being created in purchasing dept. The entry level jobs are looked at as totally replaceable and having to fight tooth and nail for a standard cost of living raise of 4-5% but they only give 3%. There is no negotiating with management. Management always looking over your shoulder all the time lots of micromanaging. Not many work remotely opportunities

Pros

People are generally considerate, thoughtful, and respectful of each other. I have seen more genuine warmth between teams, who honestly want to do the best for the customers.

Cons

Budgeting, top-level bottlenecks really prevent growth and the lags behind a decade or more behind competitors or others in the retail space. It's hard to think that Orgill would catch up without a real reprioritization and resourcing and goal alignment across all teams. Too silo'd for substantial change.
