Pros
Colleagues generally were the only reason why I stuck on. Good team work, and people generally wanted to do well. They have a lot of potential should they be given the opportunity, support and encouragement. Work life balance was good. Flexible work hours.
Cons
Lack of communication from management (some, not all). But generally, company communication was non existent. Lack of career progression, development and training. Performance reviews were pointless, not taken seriously by management. Environment not so people centric. Not too sure what HR were for??? Lack of systems, processes, organisation, planning and structure. Everything was all over the place. Company set in its old ways. Very backward. Lifeless culture. I can't recall what the values were, what the company stood for. As a Senior Consultant, salary wasn't great. Underpaid compared to the market (by at least $25K). Lots of meetings and talking and input by team but no commitment or support from management to making things happen which was very frustrating.
