Pros
- Salary - Fully remote - Unlimited holidays (UK)
Cons
- Engineering leads are suffering from deep AI psychosis. They get Claude to write documentation and plans, don't bother to proof-read them, yet the whole Engineering department has to follow and make sense of it. - Claude spend is monitored per employee, with emails sent to employees who aren't using it enough. - Poor handling of situations that would have resulted in disciplinary action at any normal company. - Nobody cares about your ideas. I initiated talks to discuss potential workflow improvements several times over my tenure yet they went nowhere. Engineering managers would rather talk about their plants than address anything. - No goodbye from any engineering managers even after working there for many years. Shocking. - Recent round of layoffs. - Processes change frequently and depends whatever a particular person is feeling that month. - Zero career progression. - Bonus is poor and hasn't advanced. - Presidents club is a complete farce. Top "x performing" employees were flown out to Cancun. No idea how performance was measured. Most employees who went were from USA, with very little representation from UK / Europe / Engineering, if at all. They are so out of touch that this happened straight AFTER a round of layoffs - either everyone should share in success or none at all. Sheer egotistic and narcissistic leadership from the top down. - Many, many other things I want to highlight but cannot to remain anonymous. Please save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.
