Pros

Decent recognition/reward program, steady yearly promotions for high performers.

Cons

Danger in the short to mid-term. CEO is abrasive, ignores his own advisors, all but sacrifice a ~100 bln contract over petty arguments with a subcontractor. Inexperienced or petty middle management running off or underutilizing new talent. Luckily my PM was genuinely a good person, he wasn't the best judge of character and it made for many very stressful years. After the rapid growth/acquisitions, they have already started cutting costs beginning with the health packages. Sure, they tell you it's standardizing after merging, but it's the cheapest option. They'll probably cut SETA roles because of added liability, they'll cut offices down to a moderate minimum of overworked "rockstars" willing to do more than their share for less than their worth. There will be exceptions, but look a program or two over and you'll see it. There will still be growth and apparent progress all over, but watch what it's for. It'll be for developing projects for future bids to the government usually. It will be programs that are designed to compete against other companies projects to feed a follow on perform program, that the government will pick from. I truly believe that word about the CEO has gotten out and most COTRs are going to see proposals with that blue green letterhead and find an excuse to have the evaluators bash it. People were already expected to do more with less as the model turns back towards profit for the investors and the top 3% of corporate leadership. This is the downside of working for a place owned by an investment holding company (Veritas Capitol). The culture that came to be was more Trumpian than anything else.

Peraton is a great company to work for. My boss built a huge Datacenter from the ground up. He is very helpful to everyone in our team.

Cons

Onboarding is slow, it takes longer than I expected.
