Pros
Great Employees - Passionate Developers and Designers
Cons
Horrible SLT - Very clear that the Senior Leader Team (VP and above) do not care about employees. Every year, the employee survey rated SLT below industry standards and only got worse. People stretched beyond the breaking point intentionally by terrible staffing decisions. Every leader believes they are smarter than anyone else and refuses to address systemic. This resulted in multiple company wide death marches due to absolute terrible planning by leadership. There was zero accountability. Product dysfunctional and ineffective - Product bases decisions based on sentiment and conversations. Almost 0 data is used to inform decisions for new products or return on investment. Features are NEVER turned off resulting in an extremely bloated and poorly supported product. Each product area is its own kingdom with zero effort applied to making a cohesive user experience or unified product. Product treats the result of the org Design and Engineering as if they are subordinates as opposed to partners in building features. Product doesn't even write requirements or user stories for basic features pawning much of the requirements gathering onto Design in "user research". Again, there is zero accountability for Product Managers or Product leadership. Almost all of the development is being pushed overseas. If you work in the US, you will have a hard time job stability or advancement at Procore.
