Pros
1. As everyone else says on here, the biggest thing that kept me at Protiviti for 3 years was the people. I met so many great people on all levels, and appreciated everything they did for me to start my career. 2. Work life balance was OK, but can be difficult when you are sent to a different state and are expected to be there each week, Sunday - Thursday. 3. They truly care about putting in a lot of effort to their trainings which everyone enjoys.
Cons
1. I joined the firm believing I would be doing Technology Consulting but found out very quickly that simply means IT Audit. If you're not stuck on the bench for 2+ months, you're most likely on a few weeks long Audit that doesn't interest you. 2. Compensation is very sporadic. There is no rhyme or reason with how they pay everyone, especially after promotions. Pay is definitely not equal once you start climbing the ranks. 3. They do not promote people based on time there or level of effort, it's mainly favorites, as others mentioned in there reviews. If you want to keep people, then promote everyone equally or else loyalty and morale will be lost. 4. Robert Half is turning Protivitivi into a loan staff company. Many consultants don't want to be shipped out for months on end, traveling Sunday - Thursday week after week. 5. Bonuses are handled very poorly. They are largely based on how chargeable you are, however, since that is completely out of your control. Most of the time you will never hit their expected numbers and as a result your bonus will be effected.
