Pros
QAD has a great culture and the best people. Internally, professional development is highly valued and taken seriously at all levels. Dissenting ideas and innovation are respected by management, strategic plan focus is clear and prioritized. Externally, QAD is intensely focused on customer success and partnership. QAD's innovation and success in many areas are both market leading and somewhat under the radar in the marketplace. QAD focuses on customer success in a select set of markets, surprising competitors many times QAD's size who focus on one size fits all solutions.
Cons
The forced employee stack ranking system was awful for a company this size, especially a lean company with extremely high-caliber employees throughout, but it appears this is now finally being phased out along with a modern employee development program. QAD is doing very well but is serving mature industries not in fast growth mode, so QAD's growth as a company doesn't support many growth-based employee promotions (many other opportunities for advancement do exist).
