Pros

Federal holidays are paid time off, 401k, hires a lot of veterans and potential sabbatical after 5, 10, and 15 years

Cons

The management team is a serious issue. Three C-levels “left” in 2022 among several individuals in upper management. It’s a boys club of white men running the company. Lots of forced prayers at company events. Everything that created the company purchased by Blackstone has gone down the toilet. It is not powered by people. The morale is at an all time low because employees are not allowed to work remotely even if it’s a desk job. Employees get 52 days a year to work remotely and are required to log those days in advance and management runs badge access records against those logged days at home. This company doesn’t value work life balance or family. You are expected to always be available 24-7 no matter the circumstances from PTO, evenings or weekends. DO NOT WORK HERE

QTS Response

QTS appreciates all perspectives and values feedback so that we can improve, fill gaps and ensure our employees have the right, factual information. As you note, QTS offers a strong benefit program including sabbatical programs, 11 holidays per year including MLK and Veterans Day, PTO, volunteer and work from home days and continue to enrich many programs every year to ensure we are fostering a culture that aligns with QTS core values. Part of our core values also includes succession planning and development which we were able to support through a couple of transitions within our C-Suite and leadership teams in 2022. Blackstone has been an accelerator for our business and with that, our employees must be agile, supporting the changes in the business so that we can all share in the success as we grow In fact, QTS is the top performing company within their portfolio of hundreds of companies! Increasing our aperture of candidate pipeline continues to be a priority for QTS and we are proud that we are on par with our competitors and our industry in terms of demographics as you suggest. We know we have work to do and are committed to doing so through our existing talent pipelines and new partnerships. Our ERGs will also be instrumental in supporting this initiative.

Pros

The company's benefits are generous and it shows they invest in their employees. The culture is very positive, with a very team-oriented goal, but with an ownership mindset.

Cons

Work life balance can be tough. The company growth is so rapid, there's a high volume of work.

Pros

Servant Leadership - Folks will lean in to help you resolve issues. Fluid workflow - There are opportunities to work with other workgroups when you have spare capacity to grow your knowledge/experience into other areas. Rampant Growth - Industry as a whole is expanding very fast. Giving new opportunities for movement Environmental stewards - Leader in sustainable data centers with closed loop cooling. Community driven - Constantly have volunteer opportunities available and actively looking for more Teamwork - From at work, to at home; Your coworkers, managers, and executives actually care about you. They want to know who you are and are genuine in their interactions. CEO's will actively strive to learn your name... so it still has the small company vibe, but it is getting bigger fast.

Cons

Growing pains - Rapid growth and expansion have left some policies in need of polishing/creating. With the rapid growth there is upward mobility that leaves production vacuums behind. Good/Bad - the expansion doesn't appear to be slowing down anytime soon.
