good salary and benefits comparing with other Japan research institutions plenty paid holidays good work-life balance really world-class research in some areas
Cons
few interactions between different teams or different centers. can be overly bureaucratic. But I guess that is inevitable for a Japanese company. no transparency in how to get promoted or become a permanent researcher. So be ready to find another place after two or three years.
