Pros
Benefits are absolutely top notch. Incredible parental and family benefits, real unlimited PTO, and competitive pay. Subteam culture varies, but I am very happy with my current team. People really care about you and your experience as a member of the community.
Cons
Teams are constantly being shuffled, reshuffled, renamed, eliminated. No lay offs when this happens, but it’s jarring. I’ve been on 3 teams in 3 years, two of which don’t exist anymore. They are very process averse, to a fault. The onboarding experience leaves a lot to be desired, and has been trial by fire for most of my peers (and myself). There seems to be a bit more internal politics than I’m used to and you have to constantly be aware of leadership’s personalities and whims to succeed. They pride themselves on inclusivity, and in day-to-day interactions everyone is treated with respect, but there are only 2 or 3 women in leadership across the company. It feels performative to say we’re inclusive but have white men make up 90% of leadership.
