Hi! Since you wrote this, we have made many modifications to our training program, including a two-week orientation with our Corporate Trainer and role-based training after that. Regarding the treatment of employees, we have always attempted to provide a fair environment where everyone feels appreciated for their work. Most people have said to us that they really feel like part of a team here, so perhaps your experience was the exception. Nevertheless, we will try to make sure absolutely no one else feels this way.

Pros

I had a very disappointing experience working with Reliable Transportation Solutions. My delivery appointment at Walmart facility was scheduled for 6:30 PM. I arrived at the security gate at 6:10 PM, well before my appointment time. As every driver knows, after arriving at the gate, there are required instructions that must be completed first: parking at the dock, sliding tandems to the rear, dropping the trailer, and parking the bobtail in the designated area. Only after completing all of these required steps was I able to go to the warehouse check-in window. When I arrived at the check-in window, I was not helped immediately because the employee was busy, and my check-in time was recorded as 6:36 PM. Right away, I was told unloading would take 6–8 hours because the freight was floor loaded and not placed on pallets. My unloading was finally completed at 12:43 AM. Since I was detained for more than 6 hours, detention compensation should apply. However, Reliable Transportation Solutions refused to pay detention simply because they chose to use the warehouse window check-in time of 6:36 PM instead of acknowledging that I arrived at the facility at 6:10 PM and followed all required instructions before check-in. In other words, they are avoiding payment because of a 6-minute technicality, even though the delay happened because their freight was not palletized and unloading naturally took much longer. This is unprofessional and unfair treatment toward drivers. Time is valuable, and carriers should not be punished for delays caused by poor freight preparation and warehouse procedures.

Cons

I would not recommend working with this company if they are unwilling to handle detention fairly and professionally.
