Pros
You get to work on something truly cool, potentially a game that you've loved for years. For a time, that passion for the project will make up for everything else. There's a magic to seeing your work come to life in such an iconic world, and I wouldn't trade that part of my experience for anything.
Cons
The dream will eventually end. I used to love this studio with every bit of my soul, but I learned a hard lesson: your loyalty will not be returned. Every year in May, people are laid off to create imaginary value for shareholders. It does not matter if you do good work or bad work. You are expendable. Please understand this before you join. This isn't a place to build a long-term home; it is a gig.
