Pros
Rio Tinto has had excellent benefits, and the people there are terrific to work with. The technologies deployed for mining tech is very interesting.
Cons
They are undergoing cost saving initiatives and outsourcing many of their services, resulting in uncertainty for current staff. Being part of a global group, the work day can stretch for many hours to be able to meet with colleagues in other regions, making work/life balance difficult to non-existent.
