Extreme amounts of autonomy and freedom to make high-level decisions. I was always given a voice in things that weren't necessarily part of my job and due to that I was able to learn a ton. The employees come from diverse backgrounds in the design, science, culinary and technology worlds, and spending time with them daily was immensely rewarding.
