Worked as a site supervisor. First day on site it was only me the supervisor and one other guard. The internal manager for the contract stated sorry “everyone quit last night.” Are you kidding me??(Wonder why). We needed at least 6 guards to staff this place. Internal manager of site (former Securitas supervisor) quit and worked as an employee for internal contract site. somehow overseeing our Securitas contract and running it. This former Securitas supervisor was catering to the one guard, because he’s been there for 10 years. They run 12 hour shifts one guard on site a shift, and refuse breaks as they need the one security guard to bounce around answering tons of request and manufacturing alarms.” By themselves. Due to no employees, these shifts turned into 24 hour shifts, telling us we cannot leave until they find a flex officer to relive us. They never found a flex officer as everyone was familiar with this site. They then let the one guard that’s been there 10 years run the show and do my schedule and payroll! Im a supervisor! What was I hired for then? I asked the guard why he didn’t step up to take supervisor spot. He said he doesn’t want the role, but yet runs the show! I then spoke to district manager in Hartford ct, he told me it would take 3 weeks to bring on atleast 2 new employees to hire externally. I stated sir I will not and cannot work 24 hour shifts with one guard and no breaks, this site is a loss of a contract as far as I’m concerned. I will not be working everyday 24 hours with no breaks as this is not even logically nor legal. He then said we’ll quit like everyone else, and I have nothing to offer you in state of MA. Found out they lost all there contracts in the western ma region, and closed down there office and relocated to Hartford ct. well all makes sense now. Stay far away. There is so many security companies out there with better opportunity.

Pros

The only thing that I enjoyed while working here was the team that I had the privilege to work with. My employment was on a tech team which was a vendor with a larger Tech company. I was able to network and meet some amazing people that allowed myself to connect with others in the tech industry.

Cons

My experience with this company was extremely disappointing. I raised serious workplace concerns related to disability-related treatment, harassment, and overall employee support through internal reporting channels, but I did not feel those concerns were handled with the urgency, fairness, or accountability they deserved. The issues continued for a significant period of time, despite repeated attempts to report them properly. After I provided additional details that were requested as part of the internal reporting process, I was removed from my client assignment. In my opinion, the timing and handling of that decision felt retaliatory, especially because it happened after I raised concerns and participated in the company’s reporting process in good faith. I was initially told that another placement would be pursued, and there was communication for several weeks. However, I was ultimately separated from the company under a “Non-Placement Termination.” The experience left me feeling unsupported and gave me serious concerns about how employee complaints, workplace concerns, and follow-through are handled.
