Pros

The pay is better than a lot of retail jobs. The employee discount and gratis (free products provided by brands when you train with them) are awesome. Also, the level of education is amazing-you've got potential to travel to cities like New York and San Francisco for training. Even local in-store training is innovative and it's great to always have new products coming though the doors. The level of client service is excellent even as an employee making a purchase and the people I work with are my second family. For the most part, the people I work with are happy with their jobs.

Cons

Not enough hours to go around for part-time cast members. Also, the application process of applying for a promotion is very lengthy and involves several interviews.

Pros

Friendly, knowledgeable, supportive coworkers. Management is generally pretty good. You get to work with all the fun products and learn directly from brand reps. And the customers are there to learn about the products - and you get to talk to them about the best products. If you're excited about Sephora, go apply!
