Pros

Salary - Decent to try to overcompensate for the many cons Benefits - When they pay the bills and fund the accounts People - Some of the colleagues are great to work with. Others are cancerous Thirsty Thursday - In Atlanta, the time we crave alcohol to get through the day has gotten earlier every week. Location - Near Perimeter Mall. Nightmare on traffic depending on where you live but there’s a shuttle to take you to/from the train station

Cons

Totally Open Floor workspace. No annual bonus. 401(k) match is only if you’re still an employee as of December 31 and you get a 50% match on your contributions that year, the following year some time in the 1st quarter. They do not do a good job with paying their bills, so if you have a Flexible Spending Account and need to submit for reimbursement of medical expenses, it can take forever to get your money back because CLX does not fund the account as they should. Very poorly organized. No support from leadership. Very young company (started in 2008) and they’ve never learned how to be true leaders of the organization outside of how they operate and handle the business side. Very poor people leaders. The Finance leadership in London is widely known throughout the company to lack good people management and even general social skills, yet they allow them to continue to run off good people instead of fixing the problem within that area. They will overload you with work and micromanage you to where you can’t work from home (they will tell you this is a benefit, but only for some people) or take your vacation without a lot of drama. It doesn’t help if you have benefits that you cannot use. That same Finance leadership has requested the security logs from when people use their badges to get into the door at the office to clock what time people get in and how often they leave out to use the restroom or whatever else they need to leave the workspace for. You will be pitted against your peers by them asking you to meet with the peer about things that makes YOU appear to be the micromanager and to that person they will feign ignorance and as if it all on you. Don’t expect support in meetings and you will be thrown under the bus every chance possible if the Finance leaders will look better than you. The overall company leaders have allowed this behavior since at least April 2017 and it does not look as if it will stop anytime soon. This will negatively impact Sales and Operations but the Finance leaders do not care. They are dishonest about circumstances within the company even though they say that they are transparent during the hiring process. Find out the real reason why positions are open before you take a job here. Basic things that you’d expect at a U.S. company like having enough qualified people to do the work within the department, new hire training, having clearly organized policies and procedures on how to do basic functions of your job, having managers that actually empower you and trust you to do the job that they hired you to do, being able to make sure everything works that you need and isn’t turned off because they forgot to pay a bill (or couldn’t pay a bill because the company credit card bills are paid and working), being able to book travel or get company supplies without having to spend your own money where you have to wait until after the trip is over to get a reimbursement, etc. are lacking there. If you expect to work for a company as a permanent employee and be valued more than a temp that’s been there only a couple of weeks and hasn’t done any real work since they got there, go elsewhere. You can be threatened with bodily harm in front of another manager there and not have the support of company leadership. The leaders in the Global HQ office in Sweden and the ones in the U.K. office have no concern for the differences in the U.S. or the basic Department of Labor protections that employees are given here. There is no respect for privacy or confidentiality or proper internal controls. Don’t expect to be able to send/receive emails or Skype messages without having your entire email account getting shared with multiple employees after you leave (and in some cases while you are still there which can create a hostile work environment if you said anything negative about your coworkers or boss via instant messenger or email or even via text message to a family member or friend if you are given a Mac as your work computer where you would log into your iCloud account to get all of your personal settings and passwords since ALL of your personal text messages load into your Messages app on the Mac).
