Pros

In my life, I have had many professional successes, but in none of the major multinational companies where I worked did I stay for more than five years. However, I was with Smartmatic for thirteen!!! That's quite a record, and that already says a lot…. Smartmatic captivates you from the moment you step in, and especially from the moment you participate in your first electoral project. That’s where you really see the heart of the organization. You get to know the passion and dedication of its people, in good times and not so good times, in sleepless nights to ensure nothing goes wrong, sweating it out together, no matter the level—from the President to the tester, working hand in hand. And that hand-in-hand approach, that passion for carrying out an election with excellence and integrity, is what makes Smartmatic and its people different and incomparable. My thirteen years with them were unforgettable. I not only learned about electoral solutions (which I knew nothing about since my world was Telecommunications), but I also learned about the nobility of its people, the importance of each team member in bringing democracy to the most remote places, in the most complicated logistical circumstances, with the pressure that the election day does not change, and with the assurance that it will be brought forward against all odds. It was a pride to have led their supply chain for all these years, and they will remain in my heart forever.

Cons

Media exposure, false news attack

Cons

- Very stressful work environment, especially close to deadlines - High responsibility and pressure due to the critical nature of the product - Tight timelines and long hours during peak periods - Not much work-life balance during election cycles
