Pros
My position was new so I was able to make it into whatever I felt the company most needed. They are very trusting of their employees, especially when they prove themselves to be loyal to the company. They respect their employees' personal lives and allow additional time off if necessary. There is a once a month lunch, snacks are available every day, and the employees are great. I often found that I wanted to see them after the day ended, which I consider a plus if you enjoy the people you work with. Also, the office views are fantastic. Trust me, it's a pro to the job. Last, Blair makes a point to say hello every day. He likes to know what is occurring, but he isn't overbearing about this. In fact, he gives great advice or ideas into how that area of research could be navigated.
Cons
My job is isolating, so it's not a con to the company, but more for anyone considering this position further in the future. Understand that this position works more on your own and on occasion works with other employees. "On occasion" can be day to day, but in plenty of instances, it was weeks. It sometimes drove me crazy, but the research portion always kept me very busy. It was an entirely new line of work so there was always a new area of sign regulations to explore.
Oh, and holidays. There just never seems to be enough in a year.
