Pros
The public perception is good. Everyone knows who Elon Musk is. When I tell people where I work they assume it's a cutting edge company. They are under the impression that the cause is noble. Changing the way we buy energy sounds like a great idea for humanity. Little do they know...
Cons
First I have to let you know I have worked in business development for 10 years and I have never seen anything this unprofessional. Awful management from the top down. A 3,000 person conference call and executives are dropping F-bomb after F-bomb. The management regularly lies about the oddest things. They justify every broken promise as a result of being a new company that experiences "changes" frequently. They will give a directive one day and tell you that it is 100% right. Then, the next week they will give you the opposite directive and tell you it is now 100% correct - clueless leadership. Nobody knows who to promote either. The most capable people always quit due to frustration. They lie about income expectations, commission structures, promotions, turnover, goals and company direction. They do not invest time or money in anything for there employees. I guess they figure they're not going to be around long. This is the cheapest place I've ever worked. They have a habit of changing business practices at a moments notice to positively lift their bottom line. All the while, throwing their own people financially under the bus. All I can say is that working here is one bait and switch after another. Anyone who reviews this company positively has only been with the organization for a very short period of time and does not know the company well enough to review it. Did I mention everything is structured like multilevel marketing? That should speak for itself.
