Pros
Some great people, with potential for providing strong contribution. History of strong technology; still some important patents. Decent pay and good benefits. Potential for important synergies between Sony pictures, Sony music, Playstation, Consumer electronics and professional electronics -- no competitors have that.
Cons
Weak management with frequent turnover. No accountability. Constant re-shuffling of leadership in Japan means nobody has the incentive to take business risks and "own" important new initiatives. US management has been reduced to beancounters and apologists. True product management, strategic planning and R&D have all been decimated.
