Pros

Latest .NET technology and some limited ability to advance your skills. Great working crew, below the management level. Co-workers are friendly, often share in projects. Management about production level is the problem, here.

Cons

Source Medical suffers from a HUGE bloated middle level management issue. The last three years, fifteen developer and QA resources have been terminated, most without cause, to save payroll and budget dollars. Most development moved off shore about a year ago and there are indications that all of it will move there by end of 2015. Management in the middle is the death of this company: There are managers of managers of managers, all fighting to protect their own slice of the pie. People who advance there are limited in number and limited to those who are able to work with this huge bloated management group on a agreeable basis, without thought or concern for their actual skills and abilities (or lack of them). Merit and Skill advancement never occurs at Source Medical. The loss of skilled development resources is severe: Their only hire for their Vision system (their key product) in the last three years has climbed his way into the middle management bloat and no one else has followed him. One person handles all Vision client side development now, and the company has major systems, including reporting, DB,Interface, Documents, and implementations that are under-staffed or simply not staffed at all. If you live in the Ukraine, then Source Medical may be an attractive possibility for a new developer. But if you live States side, you would be wise to steer clear of this company.

Pros

There are many recent posts that are discussing the transition of SourceMed. The organization is in transition and moving forward for the future. Anytime this happens, in any company, difficult decisions by the leadership team needs to be made. The current leadership is setting the company up very well for the next 10 years for both their customers and their employees. New individuals have been brought in with different skillsets to help transform the company and everyone is working very hard. SourceMed has a great culture where the senior managers have an open door policy and transparent to the employees. A great work/life balance and work from home options.

Cons

Any company that is transforming itself for the future has growing pains. If you are self motivated and believe in the mission, you will do very well at SourceMed.
