I am very sorry you had such a poor experience with our company. That department is a team of 5 and three of those employees currently have been with the company 5, 8, and 12 years respectively, most of that time in that department. I notice that it says you were with the company less than a year. We do have opportunities not only in that department (Junior Rep to Senior Rep, which comes with a raise) but in the company as well. In your first year you receive health benefits at 90 days, first raise at 6 months, and another raise with vacation days at 1 year. We also increased the amount of money the company pays of your health benefits this year, we fully pay for dental insurance, and have increased both vacation days, holiday days, and how quickly employees earn them. Our total compensation package has increased every year. Unfortunately we don't start everyone at $15 an hour, but we also don't start people at minimum wage. Some people do feel they deserve more pay, and we don't disagree with that. But, we do believe that a person also needs to work hard at their job and show value to the company. It seems that is maybe where we diverged in each other's path. We are certainly not everyone's "cup of tea" when it comes to a job, we do our best to treat everyone as fairly as we can, and we will continue to offer everyone a long term job with a good work/life balance. As a previous employee has written "You make it what it is". I wish you the best in all your future endeavors, and thank you for your feedback. Douglas Foster President at Strapworks.com

Pros

The 3 day weekend is so helpful for mental health and work/life balance. The owners want to get to know you and treat you like a person. They are accommodating when possible. No job is always fun, but I have enjoyed this job and the schedule more than any other.

Cons

It is a small, family owned business, so they can't always pay the best. They can be slow to make technological improvements or procedure changes. They do take employee suggestions, though. They do group employee development training on general topics. Maybe more individual/specific would be good?

Pros

There are possibilities for upward movement if you are willing to put in the time and the effort. Loyalty goes a long way with Strapworks. Most people's loyalty there stems from the "family" environment created there. It is easy to feel included in the Strapworks family. Although currently, the wages are not sky high, there are programs in place for standardized advancement as well as benefits package that is growing by the year including a profit-share percentage.

Cons

As stated before, the wages start low and move up incrementally as you gain experience and test into new positions as well as with tenure. Benefits could be better, but it's a good start considering what our government has put in place regarding healthcare.

Thank you for the feedback! We will continue to update our offerings and work with employees to find what is valued most. As we get larger it does get harder to please everyone, but we work hard to at least make sure that we show value to the majority. We continue to be more transparent on opportunities and advancement available. We are also working on improving wages and working levels so that every employee has a road map to a long term future with Strapworks. Douglas Foster - President at Strapworks
