Pros

Decent pay and lots of room to move between positions. Female dominant workplace.

Cons

Dishonest when hiring upon what to expect shift wise (for the call centre). Very gossipy, high-school drama like environment. Masculine men will not last long; they will fire you for absolutely nothing. High levels of stress leave among employees and mandatory overtime. But what did I expect from an insurance company...they don't care about their employees at all. They are always hiring because they are always firing too. Tenured employees take drastic pay cuts to leave to work elsewhere.

Pros

Sun Life provides competitive benefits, remote work opportunities, and the chance to work alongside knowledgeable professionals. The company offers strong learning opportunities within the disability and leave management space.

Cons

Staffing reductions and increasing workloads have made it difficult for some teams to maintain service levels while preserving employee well-being. Leadership communication and support can vary by department.
