Cons
Typical start-up culture. Demographics have severe trauma, which is not taken into consideration as there is a high expectation for short term, quick therapy. Session are 45 min and you have to have diagnosis determined in first 45 min session as well as your PHQ and GAD questionnaires. There was zero consistency or clarity on documentation- so you didnt know if you were right or wrong, if it would clear an insurance audit, if you were fully protecting your license. Your caseload was 38+. Burnout was quick and no one in decision making authority had any mental health background. They have an app, seemed great but when there is a crisis alert, it's hard to meet the requirement to contact client. No overtime compensation. Overall- avoid mental health startups.
