Pros
TEKsystems corporate does a great job developing their employees with the skills necessary to perform their specific job through a calculated and structured training platform that consists of classroom courses and print out guide materials. The training and skills development aspect of the company was great.
Cons
TEKsystems corporate is not a military friendly company. I was an active-reservist during my tenure at TEKsystems meaning that I would go away for extended periods of time spanning from a weekend up to an entire month for active duty military training. During one instance, I was away for military duties for an entire month (4 weeks). When I returned, I was held accountable and subsequently punished for not reaching performance goals. Now I am the last person to make excuses or to not achieve my prescribed performance goals, however I felt it extremely unethical, unprofessional, and possibly illegal to be handed a "written warning" and threatened my job for work missed while on active duty orders. I did not pursue an HR case as that was the point in which I realized I did not want to continue my tenure with the company. TEKsystems corporate culture is nothing like the core values of the company. I found the corporate side of the company to be incredibly cliquey from a management perspective. There was a toxic inner circle of managers, who were also personal friends. This led to professional growth for those in the "clique," while those outside of it remained stagnant. Promotions were granted based on friendships developed with management rather than professional success be it excellent customer service or reducing overall AR.
