Pros

some customers are gems and are normally the highlights of the day

Cons

we are forced to sell tjx credit cards and push them on customers, even if they say no. Another cashier who gets a lot of cards basically told me that the best way to get more is by racial profiling. What kind of backwards establishment pushes credit cards on people in low income areas and not to the rich people who come in. They also push the cards heavily on people who do not speak english as a first language, which I have seen often. Because of constant scrutiny I recieved over not selling enough cards I ended up selling a tjx card to a woman who was clearly confused and was not aware it was a credit card until it was too late. My bosses congratulated me over ruining a womans credit. but ok go off tjmaxx

Pros

Good pay and flexible hours

Cons

The workplace culture felt highly driven by informalities, which often made it difficult to resolve issues professionally. Management responses to workplace concerns often felt inconsistent, and similar incidents appeared to be handled differently depending on the individuals involved. Employee morale appeared low, and turnover seemed higher than expected during my time there. Lack of support during peak periods and backroom inefficiencies. The work environment felt unsustainable due to unresolved management issues, communication breakdowns, and inconsistent handling of workplace conflicts.
