Pros

I've been at Taylor Morrison now for almost a year and a half, and every day it gets better and better. The people are some of the best and brightest in the industry and I'm smarter because of them. I'm given the opportunity to truly lead and am seen as a trusted advisor in my role. The balance of autonomy and clear direction given from leadership is refreshing, and something most employers can only dream of having.

Cons

The setup of the corporate office needs some work, so that the workspace is more collaborative and modern, but I know this is something the management team is currently working on -- and everyone is pumped!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with us. We're glad you're seen as a trusted advisor -- and that you're so happy in your role! And we agree. The corporate office is in need of a face-lift, and like you said, we're well down the path of introducing some great new things in the setup.

Pros

Good benefits and decent pay

Cons

Advancing via merit system does not exist, low metric superintendents are awarded CSC to train. Management preaches accountability but does not practice it while, passing all the bad decisions down to their team members to take accountability for their actions and decisions. There is no team mentality in Charlotte anymore. The culture has been turned in to a game of cutthroat in which every teammate is trying to make another look bad in order to hide their mistakes. It was a great place to be when I started but it has turned sour in the worst way causing the division to lose all if their top talent at the CSM, CM, and CWM positions. Everyone feels this way and are too afraid to say it due to fear of being targeted
