Pros

- if you really need a job it is OK for some time, - you got to work with decent people (staff), - in general: management is OK but still - don't trust them, - if you're looking to gain first experience before going for real IT job then this might work as quite good opportunity, - you got to see a lot of IT equipment (again: to see, but not necessary to work with ;-) ) - there's well supplied kitchen,

Cons

- ads for Operations openings should be published in a "Caretaker required" section as this closely reflects your real duties in their DCs, - if you have anything else lined up please don't hesitate and go for it, saving yourself disappointment, - if you're seasoned in IT rest assured you'll have less skills when leaving job, you'll simply forget most, - book your Holidays well in advance, get your PTO approved and risk to have it canceled when time comes "due to staff shortage" - see title of this review, - they'll make you "cert monkey" - you'll never use any of your new skills (although they'll encourage you and even pay for exams just to show your certs to prospect customers ).

Pros

Compensation is decent, provided you're a competent negotiator (there are no fixed scales). If you were onboard at the time of the flotation ~2009), you'll have seen your options quadruple in value. They're effectively in the real-estate business - and with hosting for the major internet exchanges in Europe they're well placed to take advantage of people needing connectivity in Docklands and elsewhere - so business is good.

Cons

If you're applying for technical role be aware their commitment to managed services ... doesn't exist. They are almost viciously Sales led - the UK MD and Sales Director double-team are canny negotiators but not receptive to change. Their CEO takes particular pride in regularly raising customer pricing even above their own power supplier cost increases. Cameraderie is limited - this is a place to work for money, not an environment to enjoy for itself.
