Pros

Remunerated fairly for role (market rate)

Cons

No vision, purpose or structure. Little opportunity to grow in the role. Leadership talks about partnership with clients, but the reality is there is little partnership with cheap tricks to get clients to extend contracts. The goodwill is fading fast with clients.

Pros

There are a few good people trying to make a difference. Pros: * Talented and hardworking colleagues. * Some interesting technical challenges.

Cons

I waited a while before writing this review because I wanted enough distance from the experience to reflect on it properly. Having worked at a number of companies throughout my career, I can honestly say this was one of the most difficult and disappointing working environments I have encountered. The culture was characterised by high stress, uncertainty and a lack of trust between teams. Long hours were common, priorities shifted constantly, and there was rarely a clear or stable roadmap. Collaboration between departments often felt adversarial rather than constructive, creating unnecessary friction and making it harder to deliver meaningful outcomes. I found support from leadership to be inconsistent, particularly when concerns were raised around workload, team dynamics or employee wellbeing. Employees were frequently left feeling that they had to protect themselves rather than rely on management for guidance or support. HR, like many HR departments, appeared focused on protecting the interests of the business, leaving employees with little confidence that concerns would be addressed impartially. The recent decision to make a significant proportion of the engineering organisation redundant only reinforced my view that employees are viewed as a cost to be managed rather than people to be valued. The lack of transparency, poor planning and constant uncertainty contributed to an environment where morale was consistently low and stress levels were unnecessarily high. What disappointed me most was the apparent lack of accountability from senior leadership. Rather than addressing the underlying organisational issues, there seemed to be a culture of blame, politics and self-preservation. Teams often worked against one another instead of together, and bullying behaviours were too often tolerated or ignored. Cons: * Poor communication from leadership. * Constant organisational instability. * Long hours and unrealistic expectations. * Weak collaboration between teams. * Limited support for employee wellbeing. * A culture driven by politics rather than outcomes. * Lack of trust in senior management. I have worked in demanding environments before, but this was the first company where I genuinely felt that the culture had a negative impact on my mental wellbeing. I would strongly encourage anyone considering joining to speak with current and former employees before making a decision.
