Some directors will encourage advancement, while others will do their best to ensure you remain in the same position.
Cons
Very prejudiced and racist upper management. Leaders of color are not given the appropriate resources to succeed. Employees are discourage from discussing their salaries because everyone gets paid differently even though they may be on the same team and in the same role. HR pretends to not be aware of the situation but it is clear that they encourage it as they are the ones who confirm and process promotions. As of this writing there is no one of color in upper management.
