Pros

(Granby office) Casual environment, people are fun; never a dull moment. Very flexible schedules. In terms of technology experience, it's a great career starter

Cons

Employee care (or uncaring to be more precise) and company direction/management -Employee care: powerless HR, poor retirement plan, raise of 2% every 2 years if you "deserve it". Constant pressure from higher-ups. Employee turnover is fairly high. -Management: constant firefighting. A globalized attitude of "If I don't get ask to do this directly i'll pretend I don't know about it". Too many managers, unclear chain of command. No processes at all. Some managers are so incompetent it makes you wonder if it's possible to get fired at all Feels like going to kindergarten every morning, with more pressure and building frustrations

Pros

1. The work environment is casual: they have a hybrid office/remote work setup, and respect time away from office. 2. Colleagues are professionals: there is a lot of work to do and everyone stays busy without being micromanaged, but people also have time to collaborate on complex issues. 3. Management is supportive of the daily work, the long-term goals of the projects, and the individual career paths of the staff. I have time for education, heads-down effort, and social events when they arise. I was previously a consultant working for a large IT company, developing in whichever language a customer would want, Trilliant is smaller and more focused, which suits me. I am an older developer and Trilliant has a mix of older and younger employees across all departments.

Cons

I've been a consultant for over 20 years and have seen many difficult work situations. I have not seen these at Trilliant. I have not wanted to change my role so I have no exposure to the internal promotion system, but neither have I heard about any postings, so this may be an issue.
