There is an utter lack of foresight; everything always seems to be procrastination and then hurry up and wait, or shoot the messenger when something goes wrong. On so many occasions I can't count them all, we were presented with a problem, offered a solution, a shortcut was sought by management, then they ignored our warnings of the costs of said shortcut, and then complained to us that our implementation of said shortcut encountered problems (e.g.: the ones we warned about)
