Pros
USAA seems to value their employees as an organization, the benefits are good, and they emphasize work life balance. Stuart Parker seems to have a vision in which the company should be going, but I really wonder if he’s really connected to the true pulse of the company.
Cons
Perhaps one of the most culturally insensitive company I’ve ever worked for. On their corporate intranet they tried to pass off an act of outright racism as a biased mistake. Furthermore there isn’t a day without the typical racist micro aggression, rather it’s coming from a manager implying that ever race receives free money for colleges except white students to co-workers suggesting that the side of town with a large minority population is dangerous. They even contracted with a marketing company that had a racist office party and the reaction by USAA was extremely delayed.
