Pros
Good employees who are nice
Cons
Worked there for over 17 years, getting virtually major insurance designation known to man, including the coveted CPCU. Never once got into Underwriting despite making it clear thats where I wanted to go. I wasnt going to kiss --- to get there. instead those who did kiss --- got there or they hired from the outside. USAA ENCOURAGED us to use that education card to better ourselves and give us a chance to move up. Alot of good that did me. Oh and the topper - I wanted to make 1/3/22 my last day there so I could get new years day pay and keep my insurance thru the end of month and (probably wishful thinking) be eligible for the (contstantly decreasing) bonus. But when I gave that notice on 12/27/21, they asked me where I was going, I said another insurance company. Then they told me that 12/27 would have to be my last day. How convenient is that for you USAA - dont pay me new years day, stop paying my medical insurance in 5 days, and certainly no bonus consideration. I wonder if THAT rule is your employee handbook? Probably not even something they have the legal right to ask. But gullible me tried being honest with them. Stay classy USAA.
