Pros
Utah Transit Authority is a great employer that has good benefits, The retirement is really good. It has a set schedule at least on the rail operations side. Most of the coworkers are really fun to work with.
Cons
Management oversight, At FrontRunner it is very top heavy and political. They have 28 Supervisors and 4 managers for 45 engineers. They target people they don't like. They also treat people poorly that actually know the rules and have the experience. The training is very rushed do to the engineer/train host shortage. The trainers in my opinion don't have thorough knowledge of what they are teaching. Pay is also the lowest for licensed Locomotive engineers in the country.
