This is a good place to work if you are content with living out the rest of your days without accomplishing anything of moment. You will not be pressured to make something of yourself here.
Cons
I worked here for two long years. I am not getting those two years back. The management in this place is nothing short of farcical. Decisions are made not based on what would make the most sense for business, but on what would satisfy certain strong personalities, however misguided they may be. Middle management basically did not function as a layer between us and upper management. In my case, my manager was basically incompetent. One of the seniors in my team, who was hired after I joined, but left not long after. I remember him saying to me, "why always we answer? Why she cannot answer?" referring to how she would make us answer to her superiors on her behalf. She would drag us into everything she did; basically she lacked any sort of agency. There was one time she made the entire team spend multiple 2-3-hour-long meetings working on a single PowerPoint presentation together. A presentation she had to present. From what I know of other people who have also left, my experience was in no wise unique. To top it all off, the remuneration here is downright dismal. Even if you perform well, the bonuses and increments are frankly insulting. Promotion here is also based on tenure, not performance. If you are someone for whom work-from-home is important, you will not find it here. The management here is thoroughly adamantly against it. I remember in 2024 they announced that come 2025, they would publish their "flexi-work arrangements". Foolish of me to think that they are finally coming round. When 2025 came and the "flexi-work arrangements" were announced, it came down to... you can either come into the office 8am-5.30pm, or come into the office 9am-6.30pm. Such flexibility!
