The only good thing about the place is the other cashiers and associates I work with every day. - Cashier Walmart Employee Review

Pros

The company has very friendly associates and cashiers who are willing to help out wherever possible. The same however cannot be said for the managers and other leaders.

Cons

Interview process was unprofessional. Other people were in the room while you were being questioned. Supervisors don't communicate among themselves and cause confusion among the rank and file. No respect shown towards hourly workers. The "training" program is a joke. You are sent out on the floor and the supervisors who are supposed to train you either don't have time or don't care enough to do it. You have to accomplish your required online training during your breaks because the supervisors in your section never give you time to complete your training. The result is constant bickering between the Training Coordinator and the floor supervisors.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
