Look Elsewhere! Managers Belittle, Yell and Threaten! - Developer Wayvia Employee Review

Pros

If you're needing a paycheck right away, then take it. You can get some free snacks everyday and free lunch on Fridays. It's a casual dress environment.

Cons

Look forward to employees relying on managers to dictate direction, or you will suffer consequences. Managers will question your job commitment, make you work crazy hours ( which I don't mind the crazy hours sometimes, but reward and acknowledge), and this is the kicker, make you feel like crap when you make a wrong decision. Also, if you like regular emails from our HR that tell employees to be in by 9am on a bi-weekly basis, or if you like HR and your manager not allowing you to have a life. Acknowledgement and trust suffers greatly in this place. STAY AWAY.

Pros

Working on large-scale commerce and retail intelligence platforms. Technically interesting work, with exposure to APIs, cloud services, and data-heavy systems. Growing quickly as an engineer. Close collaboration across product and engineering teams.

Cons

Fluid priorities on some projects, which can affect timelines.

Pros

Worked with a lot of great colleagues.

Cons

- Behind the polished promises is a deeply disappointing and draining culture. - Leadership is fixated on metrics at the expense of people. - Managers openly show favoritism and promote bootlickers regardless of actual impact. - Getting anything meaningful done felt almost impossible, and even simple ideas were buried under endless meetings, pointless paperwork, and constant delays. - Upper management is completely disconnected from what teams actually deal with, and turnover became so frequent that no one even bothered questioning it anymore. - The loudest voices consistently got attention while real talent was ignored or pushed aside. - Deadlines made no sense given the workload placed on engineers, and the pay was nowhere near reflective of the pressure involved. - Save yourself the stress, there are far better places to work.
