Pros
- Lots of exposure to SOX - Lots of travel to decent places - Competitive salaries - Larger company with room to move outside of audit. - Current IA Management has a plan to improve the work environment and efficiency of the group
Cons
- Company has little vision or direction - Comprised of many different businesses operating independently (little or no coordination or information sharing) - Senior Managers present roadblocks to initiatives for improvement presented by employees - Too many levels of management; Dir, Associate Dir, Senior Managers, Managers - Managers do not provide a fostering mentoring environment - Only SOX - SOX testing can be completed more efficiently - Current SOX reviews provide little value to the organization other than to "check the box" - No dedicated IT Audit function yet WFT operates numerous ERPs in an extremely complex network. - Only two weeks of vacation (industry standard is three) - Not very flexible with work hours (No 9X80s, no working from home, etc.)
