Pros

Good brands, interesting work, some progression opportunities, some god benefits including hybrid working (2 days a week in office). Lots of opportunities to learn

Cons

Multiple reorgs and redundancies over the last few years have left skeleton teams where one person manages work which used to be done by three+. Private Equity ownership means high (often unrealistic) targets, and a faster and faster pace (with fewer resources to get things done) + lots of politics at the senior level which filters down to the rest of us. However some teams are better than others though so it does depend on you manager / function.

Pros

Wella gives you a potential to thrive as an individual contributor employee. As someone who is recently new, there’s plenty of opportunities to participate in employee benefits such as gym discounts, health/ wellness discounts and of course, the fan favorite, Wella products! The US team cares for their employees and gives us half days for Summer Fridays, also a huge benefits and makes working at Wella fun.

Cons

Not much to say here except the work can get hectic at times depending on busy season for launches- Holidays, Brand Partnerships/ Sponsorships, Seasonal launches, Etc.

Pros

Diversity. Field based employees are great.

Cons

Constant turnover in c suite. Constant new names in upper management and less roles in field. Direction and focus changes every 2 months. Less focus on long term business and targeting small door wins. Zero input from field. VP’s seem to operate in an authoritarian nature. Not soliciting any input but continue to firehose new kpi’s.
