Pros

Western actually cares about their employees. They listen to feedback from their employees and implement changes to make positive movements, In many companies the front line staff are forgotten about, but western makes a point to include and show appreciation to all staff. Work life balance is important and acknowledged. They provide many supports tools for inside and outside of work.

Cons

The new hire onboarding could use some streamlining. But this is being worked on and have made huge improvements in the last few years.

Western Financial Group Response

Listening to feedback so that we can address challenges and find improvements is a top priority for Western, and it's always good to hear when our efforts are making a difference. At Western, we realize that onboarding and orientation are not just about checking off a list of compliance and logistical steps but actually revolve around an individual. We understand that providing a thoughtful and consistent experience to all new team members is critical, and the Dedicated Services teams continue to work with Leaders as we focus on providing consistency in support, resources and learning opportunities.

Pros

Work is monday to friday 9 to 5 with an hour long break, i enjoy helping customers with their insurance needs helping them find a policy that meets or exceeds their needs.

Cons

Poor office management, manager cannot help in the polices as they dont know how to use the systems. Tells you just to get it done, even if your unsure of the process. There is lack of training for newly licensed employees. Sent to cluster office for 3 days of "training" where the team lead was too busy to teach. Training ended up with just processing mail. There was the expectation to know how to write polices after being told to forget everything you learned in level one training as its not relevent to the job.
