Pros

I cannot think of any pros for this company.

Cons

There aren't enough words to describe the disorganization of Wipro. The communication was awful. People were hired and fired left and right, managers were basically never around to actually manage their teams. People added to projects were nowhere near qualified and did not respond well to training. Incompetent staff and managers hid behind competent members of the team. Wipro also does not pay well, does not give raises yearly, and does not match 401k yearly. The 401k match was extremely low and basically not worth it. I was promised training and career advancement, but not training opportunities or advancement were provided, even when I asked multiple times! Their intranet hardly ever works and it seriously took over an hour to fill out a timesheet online. They have their own mandatory training that isn't related to your position at all and you have to do it on top of client work. There is so much of it that it is basically 2 jobs in 1! There is no Human Resources department to contact if you are on a client site. There was no information provided about benefits. I honestly have no idea who my manager was as there seemed to be a new person around quite often. All I know is that when you need something done, each person claims they are not your manager and can't do anything to help! Absolutely 0 transparency in the organization.

Pros

There are no pros to working for Wipro.

Cons

This company is a sh** show. There are too many managers and less and less people to do the actual work. They have people that negotiate contracts and then expect the company to make money. In reality, most of the time the contract is basically giving the house away. It is the employees that suffer. When the contracts go south, they cut more people. Those people are then screwed over. Be warned!! If your position ends on the 25th of the month, your health insurance also ends on the 25th of the month. Note that the premium you paid, is not pro-rated, justifying the end of coverage on the 25th. You still pay the usual premium, which should then have your coverage run through the end of the month. If they can destroy a person, they will. They want more and more and more from their employees. While they preach all this mental health, work life balance, it's a sham. They have no regard for the well being of the employee, which carries over to the employee's family.
