Pros
I cannot think of any pros, apart from perhaps having made some good friends through adversity. The occasional mid-level manager is "on-side" but sadly they soon leave!
Cons
Salary not the best. Salary reviews non-existent. Benefits not even worthy of the name. The minimum of holiday allowance - a small gripe, but compared to comparable companies they are not good. The demand on working outside of the EU Working Time Directive and not considering a decent home/work-life balance. Management is atrocious and work to their own agenda. Annual Appraisals are ridiculous and bear no relevance to the individual’s real worth and despite it being compulsory for employees to complete assessments to a deadline; management has a different viewpoint and often fail to make a realistic contribution to the process. Being on the bench is a sure-fire way to be fired! Also they take no notice of individual skills despite having a matrix and will assign people top totally inadequate roles just to fill a client need. You will see Infrastructure specialists trying to carry out a BPO assignment. And if you don’t book 9 hours per day you have to mark time to ensure you do! The local HR function is nothing worse than awful. They have no interest in the employee and in many cases ignore reasonable requests. And when you resign trying to get any sense or guarantees from them is impossible. I would not advise anyone to consider working there. On the surface and the face it shows to the world it looks good. Underneath it is a cesspool where the employee is nothing more than a resource to be used and abused until they escape.
