Pros
The ONLY pro to this position was my coworkers. I loved them so much and we got along great as a team.
Cons
PLEASE BE CAREFUL. This is my personal experience: From the start, during Wise training, the company emphasizes that you will be lost, confused and freak out your first year of working there. This is very true. The reason this is true is due to the extreme amount of change and updates constantly happened in protocols/guidelines for CS to abide by. Aside from that, the Social Media ATX team was brand new when I started. The Team Lead (your boss) started at the same time with all of us. She does not know how to be a team leader and is not someone you can rely on for questions being answered or for accountability when it comes to scheduling one on one meetings. Your first 3 months out of training is considered “probation” this means you’ll be monitored and expected to meet a very unattainable set of metrics. Not kidding no one on our team was meeting all metrics during this time. My personal experience during probation had me extremely stressed and afraid I’d be losing my job the next week or so if I didn’t perform well. I brought this up with my Team Lead in our one on one meetings that if there’s anything I’m not doing or ever a chance I could be let go to please give me a warning so I can prepare. She emphasized she thought I was fine I was showing improvements each week and she didn’t think I had to worry. So I kept working hard and eventually passed my probation period. Fast forward a month later, my metrics were the best they’ve ever been (I was meeting 2/3) and my only meeting since with her was when she told me I was doing great and passed probation. I get called into a random meeting with her and HR and she states I’m being let go due to “performance and out of queue time” Never once was I told I was ever being considered that this was an option, never once did she mention I was ever out of queue or not being productive. I was feeling confident again with my position and thought I was doing well but apparently not according to her. As mentioned in my Pros, I loved my coworkers. We all were in it together and we all were trying our best to learn and get through the changes together. The lack of miscommunication and stress levels are insane with this company. This position should not cause people to go to HR and the people’s team for mental health visits within 3 months time of being there.
