Pros
You can work from wherever, whenever you want just so long as, "...you get your [stuff] done." This makes it easy to step out for a doctor's appointment or to attend to your kids. The company keeps expanding on its parental leave policy. Offices are modern, equipped, and mostly empty (if you need peace and quiet while you work).
Cons
Workiva was rated a Great Place to Work each year I was there, but the score fell significantly each term. The decline stemmed from engagement from management, lack of career growth, compensation issues, and what seems to be a deviation from Workiva values. In that time, several layers of senior and middle management were added, while individual contributor roles were reduced. There were frequent org. restructures and raises/bonuses vanished. In 4 years, I had no manager much longer than any manager and for awhile I reported to a contractor only working a few hours a week. I didn't need one for my day-to-day, but having no one impeded getting things done, removing obstacles, getting resources, your team having a voice in decisions, and your own professional development. ... My unit has since been disbanded and scattered across the org.
